Actuarial Analyst

Job Summary and ResponsibilitiesThe Actuarial Analyst will perform actuarial services for defined benefit, defined contribution plans, and post-retirement benefit plans including plan design, actuarial valuations, experience studies, actuarial modeling, compliance, and other related activities. May also have the opportunity to work on other actuarial projects related to health benefits and workers compensation.1. Formulates and processes benefit calculations and projected benefit estimates.2. Analyzes population and pension plan specific experience data to determine mortality and other demographic assumptions used.3. Assists with completion of plan reporting and filing requirements.4. Performs plan administrative tasks such as completing benefit calculations, reviewing plan documents and SPDs, and producing benefit statements.5. Assists with financial modeling specific to special retirement projects analyzing their impact on all retirement plans, including assumption studies, plan design studies, plan terminations, early retirement window studies, post-retirement medical and acquisition studies. 6. Develops and enhances actuarial models used for cash flow production, Statutory and GAAP reserves, and policyholder behavior.Working Conditions:
QualificationsEducation, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
1. BA/BS degree in mathematics, statistics, actuarial science or a related field.2. Three or more years of relevant experience.3. Familiarity with basic mortality and interest theory concepts.4. Ability to work within various software applications to become efficient in completing assignments.5. Strong working knowledge of pension funding and accounting rules.6. Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.8. Demonstrates initiative.Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
