Fast growing community bank in Bergen County, New Jersey is seeking a Portfolio Management Assistant to work closely with the bank's Senior Lending Officer.
Responsibilities will include accepting consumer loan applications, managing disclosure requirements, preparation of documentation and loan closings. This portion of the position is minimal since the bank is not actively promoting this business, and most activity will be on the commercial side as is articulated below.
On the commercial side, responsibilities will include portfolio management duties including record keeping, preparation of documentation required for compliance with all regulations and monitoring compliance,renewals and other duties associated with managing the commercial loan portfolio, keeping the lending officer apprised of the status of the portfolio, advising of items that may need further attention as well as special projects and providing general assistance.
The position is unique in that in this community bank, the person will have a wide breadth of diverse duties and exceptional exposure to senior management not afforded by larger institutions, providing potential for long term opportunity and upward mobility in a well managed and fast growing community bank.
The position requires two or more years experience in loan administration, credit analysis or loan operations/administration on the consumer side with commercial and business lending a plus. Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
