Our Job Opportunity
We are currently hiring State Certified (FHA/HUD) Field Appraisers in Bergen County, NJ.
The field appraiser is responsible for estimating property values by providing appraisals on residential properties; researching and analyzing property information; reconciling various indicators; preparing an appraisal report, making own appointments, excellent time management skills and self-motivated to meet deadlines. Ensuring appraisals are procured, documented and processed in compliance with all applicable Federal and State Laws, USPAP, FIRREA, and STARS policies. The position is focused on the completion of quality appraisal products in a minimally supervised environment.
Job Duties
Inspecting properties and completion of residential appraisals on FNMA forms
Assist management with inquiries that require the appraisers market expertise.
Attending training and other related required events
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education,
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelors degree preferred
Certified General or Certified Residential Appraisal license for a minimum of three (3) years
Approved for FHA assignments
Experience, Knowledge/Skills
At least 3 years as a State Certified Appraiser.
Thorough knowledge of FIRREA, USPAP and Agency guidelines
Strong analytical ability to review quantitative and qualitative data and render professional judgments as relates to appraisal theory and practice.
Effective written and verbal communications, with experience communicating at all levels within an organization
Proven ability to utilize time management and organizational techniques to manage changing priorities and conflicting work deadline requirements.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record with no restrictions
Proficient with ACI and Microsoft (Excel, Word, and Outlook)
