Job Summary and Responsibilities:
The Clinical Performance Measures Manager will provide oversight of activities and systems to achieve compliance to the top decile for New Jersey hospitals and provide interventions to improve compliance on a case-by-case basis. The individual in this position will work across the medical center with multidisciplinary teams to educate staff at all levels in methods to achieve compliance.
The Chest Pain Center Coordinator will provide guidance for the Chest Pain Accreditation in collaboration with the Emergency Medical Services, Community Outreach, Emergency Department, Cath Lab, Telemetry, Observation Unit, and Coronary Care Unit along with other entities within the cardiac service line to promote excellence in cardiac patient care. This position will also assist in the planning, development and implementation of program goals and operations. Coordinates and oversees the ongoing CQI process to improve care of the cardiac patient population.
1. Serves as a clinical resource and expert throughout the institution for compliance.
2. Must be detailed oriented and organized, able to collaborate with multiple disciplines.
3. Maintains knowledge of systems operations in order to expedite hospital needs (e.g., who to contact, best methodology to accomplish desired result).
4. Responds to consultative requests and provides recommendations for clinical, educational and / or psychosocial interventions as necessary.
5. Collaborates with multidisciplinary care teams as needed to optimize quality and delivery of care while achieving compliance with initiatives.
6. Assists educational departments in providing education to all levels of staff on compliance measures.
7. Educates patients and families when necessary in prescribed treatment plan of care.
8. Supports research initiatives of the organization through education, practice and leadership.
9. Critically evaluates existing practice based on current research findings and integrates changes into practice.
10. Acts as a professional role model to all levels of staff by incorporating expertise and related experience into all aspects of patient care.
11. Fosters communication between members of multidisciplinary care team to accomplish initiatives.
12. Identifies the need for new programs, assesses potential outcomes and cost benefits, and makes recommendations for further development, implementation and evaluation.
13. Assist and recommends protocols and guidelines for best practice treatment of cardiac patients across the continuum of care.
14. Oversees the tracking process for data related to throughput of the cardiac patients and provides data to the Chest Pain Committee to initate changes as appropriate and to improve outcomes.
15. Chair the Chest Pain Committee.
16. Work in a collegial manner with the Chest Pain Medical Director to assure continuity in care of all cardiac patients and quality outcomes.
17. Assists in the development of strategic plans for the Chest Pain Center Accreditation.
18. Work closely with the Emergency Medical Services to assure optimal continuity of care, from pre-hospital to hospital.
19. Educates nursing, ancillary staff on best practices in the treatment of ACS and AMI patients. Develop education for all new employees on the mission and vision of the facility related to chest pain patients and educate them regarding chest pain accreditation.
20. Conducts cardiac research studies as appropriate to facilitate care.
21. Work Closely with the quality coordinator to assure metrics are in place to show continuous improvement in the care of the ACS patient and for CMS data reporting, as well as other registry data.
22. Address administrative time versus clinical time.
23. Act as a resource internally and in the community regarding educating others about the ACS patient.
24. Represents the hospital at a local, regional and national level related to best practices for ACS patient. Speaks at educational conferences and become involved with the Society of Chest Pain Centers and Providers.
25. Performs such other duties as reasonably requested by or otherwise necessary to properly assist the operations of the Chest Pain Center.
Working Conditions:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
1. Bachelors degree in nursing
2. Excellent interpersonal skills, communication and creative problem solving
3. Minimum of 5 years experience with direct involvement in compliance activities
4. Minimum of 5 years with direct care of the Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) patient in either the ED, Cath Lab, CCU or Telemetry Units

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
