Unique opportunity in the Hackensack, NJ office of the world's leading independent source for testing and intelligence on the document imaging industry for motivated, tech-savvy writer with a background in technology writing. Responsibilities include conducting hands-on evaluations of document imaging and document management software, analyzing test data to form an expert opinion of its performance in various test categories vs. competitors; and writing reports on the results. Other responsibilities include attending and presenting at trade shows; interviewing management-level staff of vendors in the industry as well as end users; writing blogs, case studies and competitive head-to-head face-offs; and regularly publishing content on the website.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate is a highly responsible team player with excellent written and interpersonal communication skills and a proven ability to get engagement from sources, multitask and meet deadlines. The ability to write clearly about technology is a must, as are good analytical skills, computer skills and attention to detail. A degree in journalism or related subject is required. Experience evaluating products, particularly software, is a big plus, as is knowledge of buyers' needs in various vertical markets. Salary commensurate with experience. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
