The role of the Ladies Casual Footwear Designer encompasses two primary functions:
Creative Responsibilities and Development Support.
This Ladies Designer candidate will contribute to all aspects of the footwear business through collaboration with the Design Team and should have a balance of creativity, conceptual thinking, organizational skills and attention to detail.
This ideal person requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the footwear industry.
This role collaborates closely with the entire Design Department, China Product Development teams and Sales/Marketing to build out seasonal collections that meet our business needs.

CREATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES Contribute to strategic and creative meetings with Design Team Create trend boards, and shopping research reports, in conjunction with each season's needs Work closely with creative footwear leads to initiate concepts for each season that are reflective of each brand's DNA Responsible for customer/licensor presentations and articulate with clear storytelling Create detailed sketches and CADs for Design overviews Must be a team player with a positive attitude, who is able to thrive and take initiative/feedback in a fast-paced work environment DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT RESPONSIBILITIES Be accountable to deadlines, design parameters and project scope Organize and maintain original sample references for last/outsole development Ensure design CADs/specs are accurate to pass off to overseas teams Liaise with the development staff in our Hong Kong office to manage sample process A strong understanding of outsole construction, sketching and blueprint Broad understanding of footwear materials, good color sense Strong Photoshop and Illustrator skills Experienced in traveling to factories/retailors a plus Job Type:
